Cosmetic ingredients needed?
zackey9507 asked:
I need to find the ingredients to Sonia Kashuk eyeshadows. I’ve looked online and can’t find anything. Any help?
Here’s the situation:
My eyelids are extremely sensitive to most eye shadows–one day of wearing eye shadow, and I’m fighting a red itchy rash for two weeks.
The dermatologist diagnosed this as contact dermatitis, meaning I’m allergic to one of the ingredients of eyeshadow (Clinique, Physician’s Formula, Almay, and one of the “mineral” styles). He advised me that if I want to identify the exact ingredient, I could have a patch test done (a 5 day allergy test where each individual commonly known allergen is “painted” on my back in little patches, and I’m checked for allergic reactions over the 5 days). I was going to do it, but wanted to wait until winter (you can’t wash your back for the 5 day time period–ugh). Well, I just found out I’m pregnant, so no testing for me.
Anyway, I have found ONE brand, in ONE shade that I’ve found that I can wear: Sonia Kashuk “A Perfect Match-03.” I thought I’d found my brand and proceeded to try another color, but wouldn’t you know–allergic reaction! I really hate playing “lab rat” with my eyes until I know what it is about Sonia Kashuk’s “A Perfect Match” that actually works for my eyes.
I’m bored silly with this color, but it’s the only eyeshadow I dare wear until I know more about it.
Any advice? Resources? Help?

Has anyone else had trouble getting their refund when returning Naked Minerals cosmetics?
mary h asked:
I do love Bare Essentials mineral makeup, but was tired of the mess so I ordered the large kit from Naked Minerals. In the description it included the crystal fusion wrinkle corrector, which was not there. Initially I called and they send they’d send it right to me. A couple weeks later I called again and they said it wasn’t suppose to be part of the kit. I did like the makeup, but hated several other products. She game me a return Authorization Code and I returned it in July. I ordered from another website just the foundation powder. I called yesterday and they said they never received my return. I had gotten insurance so they are telling me I have to go to the post office and complain, which is ridiculous. I know they got the return. If anyone else has to return this makeup, make sure you use the mailing that notifies you when they receive the package. Or be smart and just don’t order it at all. The rest of their products are junk.

Is this too much makeup for a 15 year old?
ktkimm1 asked:
Is this too much makeup for a 15 year old?
I am 15 (sophomore) and i just started makeup
I wear Physician’s Formula mineral powder ( just to cover up shine on my t-zones); mascara; sometimes eyeliner; lipgloss; and some shimmer using an “all over stick” from e.l.f. cosmetics on my cheeks and eyelids
Is it too much? How much makeup did you use at my age?

What is the particle size used for face powder/mineral veil microfinish powder?
Taoman asked:
Hi,
I wondered if anyone out there can tell me what the particle size is for the powders used as microfinish face powder make up like mineral veil. I believe the base is silica powder so if I can find out what the particle size is I should be able order the powder direct from a chemical supplier and avoid the mark up of the cosmetic companies.

Which is a good natural cosmetics line Origins or Clarins?
LutherTM98 asked:
I am 9 weeks pregnant with twins and I am currently using Lancome, but the smell is just well…getting to me. I was thinking of trying to switch to a more natural line of skincare and makeup. My friend suggested Bare Minerals, but it just did not work with my skin and I broke out….next I tried Aveda, but I could not get over the smell and the foundation made my eyes water. I took a sniff of some of Clarins products and saw that they had things to prevent stretch marks as well as good sun protection products…I also took a sniff of Origins products, the smell was fine, good color selection, the price was better than Clarins, but no good stretch mark products, and not enought sun products. Which do would you recommend for me, I need a good skincare line, as well as makeup. My skin is combination as it gets good and oily in the T-Zone and normal on the cheeks. I want my skin to be soft, clear, and oil free, but not stripped. Clarins seemed nice, but expensive. Any suggestions?
